Here at Daylesford Bowling Club, we offer Quality Value Hospitality and Atmosphere all in a beautiful country setting.

From October to April, we have two well maintained lawn bowling greens available for pennant and social. Bowls and all equipment are available for use. Book in for Bowls, Bevvies & Bites.

When you’re in the mood for a drink, we offer a fully serviced bar at value prices. Feel free to enjoy the alfresco setting and beautiful views in our lounge area.

If you want to have a fun Friday, stop by to win money, participate in a raffle, have a drink, indulge in a hearty meal or simply hang out. Each Friday, we hold our members draw and raffles. Happy Hour on Friday is from 6 pm to 7 pm. We hope to see you soon!

CLUB HISTORY

Daylesford Bowling Club was formed on the 17th of April 1899 and was opened on the 20th of December 1899 with 64 founding members. The first club President was J Wheeler and the first Secretary was J Anderson.

In 1904, the club joined the North Western District Bowling Association and in 1907 the Daylesford Tennis Club was brought in; this combined body then became The Daylesford Bowling and Tennis Club. The Bowling Club had four rinks and the Tennis Club had two asphalt courts.

The buildings included a tea kiosk and a club room equipped with two billiard tables. During the winter months, several socials, dances and progressive euchre parties were held. The club’s membership in 1927 consisted of 43 bowlers and 45 tennis players. The first Club Champion was Dr Adam.

Today the club has two bent grass greens and has a bowling membership of around 80 bowlers.
